The Garage Market brings together some of the highest quality of craft, vintage, home, garden, and food and drink as we transform The Garage into a sprawling urban market hall full of passionate independents. With a pop-up café, book and plant shop, as well as patisserie, artisan coffee, award-winning meats and real ale bar, our bohemian market is rapidly becoming a must visit destination for the East Midlands.

Working with some of the areas highest quality food and drink producers, The Garage will be hosting up to 25 small independent businesses every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. With the focus being fresh produce, you can expect to find things like artisan breads, cheeses, patisseries, pies, eggs, dairy and meats as well as locally brewed beer, ciders, gins and wines.

June 24th Line-up

Lloyd Griffth

Topping the bill is the intrinsically funny Lloyd Griffith. comedian, choirboy and an ‘aspiring’ goalkeeper who has supported Jack Whitehall and Rob Beckett on tour. He has also made numerous TV appearances including as regular host on Sky Sports’ Soccer AM and on Comedy Central Live at The Comedy Store. As a choirboy in Grimsby, he sang on ‘The National Lottery, with Dudley Moore who played the piano. Then later in life sang backing vocals on a Bee Gees album. A professional singer but always a natural jester he turned to stand-up and with his down-to-earth cynicism and lively attitude, he enthrals the crowd.

Eddy Brimson

Opening the night will the appealing and gripping writer and comedian Eddy Brimson. Known as a ‘geezer’ he is one of the most entertaining comedians on the circuit. Having made many TV appearances including Eastenders, Absolutely Fabulous, The Thin Blue and Casualty, he has also featured in TV adverts such as Snickers and Bacardi Breezer. Travelling all over the world as a stand-up he once even did a gig naked!

James Sherwood

Also appearing is James Sherwood sharing his imaginative musical jokes and beautifully crafted original comedy songs. His sharp wit and inspirational set results in truly laugh out loud comedy.

Compere for the night will be Nik Coppin who confidently engages the audience with his honesty, whilst relating his experiences at a somewhat fast pace.

The Street Food Smoke-Up is the East Midlands biggest monthly celebration of international food and drink, and it’s only at The Garage.

Bringing together some of the very best in street food dining, experience new and exciting flavours found in every corner of the globe or individual twists to old favourites. We have the honour of working with some of UK’s finest Street Food chefs, as they pitch up and cook award-winning menus that will revolutionise the way that you view world cuisine. There’s really something for everyone!
